Fri - did a hike to the north end of the island to see the lower harbour area and some more houses. Lots of Poison Ivy on the island so there is always the need to be careful at the edge of trails or if going off-trail. Much off the bush on the island is Cat-Berry, which has lots of large thorns and is vine-like. Neither beast nor man can venture more than a few inches into this invasive growth.
Sat - did a hike along the main road to Tarpaulin Beach where a number of boats had dropped anchor. A good 10 km round trip hike on a clear and sunny warm day. See pic with Martha's Vineyard in the background.
